I'm reading the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel. Its a first person account of his survival through concentration camps as a Hungarian Jew in the early 1940's. I've had it for not even a whole day and already his story has amazed me. Reading the hardships he endured and overcame is the most inspiring feeling ever, knowing the strength he had.
It makes me appreciate how lucky I really am. The threat of death at someone else's hands has never been a possible reality to me. It also makes me wonder how something like the holocaust could even be allowed to happen. Intolerance and hatred have done nothing for this world....
